Interview with INFECTING THE SWARM

Admin: Thnks before man, how are you and INFECTING THE SWARM?
Hannes: Thank you man, it´s my pleasure! I´m good and Infecting The Swarm too!

Admin: Could you explain a little about INFECTING THE SWARM?
Hannes: Sure. It´s my one-man project that I started back when I was active in Chordotomy and it´s now my number one priority when it comes to writing and all that stuff. I guess you could say it´s my baby. It´s all about fast Brutal Death Metal with some techy influences and is conceptual set around sci-fi/biology and horror.

Admin: You announce officially been released 2 promo song, how the responses of the listeners?
Hannes: It has been a lot better than I initially expected and I´m always stoked when someone tells me he loves the tracks. Thats just a huge honor and I´m extremely proud that people really like the music I write.

Admin: What bands influence music INFECTING THE SWARM?
Hannes: I would say that there are a few bands that really influenced the sound and the writing, these bands are: Cerebral Effusion, Disgorge, Antropofagus, Eighty Thousand Dead, and Ingested.

Admin: Track listing for the album "Pathogenesis" has officially you vomiting, when you release the album?
Hannes: I´m currently still wiriting the album and there is still a lot to do. I´m hoping for an early 2014 release but thats just a good guess, it really depends on how the writing in the following two months goes and how everything else works out with the Label and recording and the usual stuff you have to face when writing and recording a CD.

Admin: Can you divulge a little about the themes and lyrics on the album "Pathogenesis"?
Hannes: The album is basicly set around a concept that I tried to develop over the last year. It´s basicly about mission to a super-earth and the lifeform the scientist then encounter on it. As I mentioned earlier it´s mostly biology and horror so there are a lot of very detailed lyrics with a lot of the processes that happen during an infection (or similar) in a human body on a cellular and molecular level but I also tried to cover the bigger aspects. I haven´t written all of the lyrics yet so there is still something that can be added or taken out.

Admin: How do you think the progress of the death metal scene in your country?
Hannes: I absolutly love it. In the last few years the death metal scene here in germany really flourished. A lot of new bands started and are now growing and getting bigger and releaseing material and get some well deserved recognition on an international level. There is also a lot of support among the bands, and it feels just like a big pile of awesome people and friends, basicly everyone knows everyone and whenever someone can help out they will help out right away. Some of these bands are Abhorrent Castigation, Endometritis, Genital Mutilation, Chordotomy, No One Gets Out Alive, and Cytotoxin.

Admin: In your opinion, could have mentioned 5 best death metal album of all time?
Hannes: Thats a hard question, there are just some incredible albums in the scene, but my top 5 would be - and these are in no particular order:
Disgorge - Consume the Forsaken
Cerebral Effusion - Impulsive Psychopatic Acts
Abominable Putridity - In the End of Human Existence
Euphoric Defilement - Ascending to Worms
Human Rejection - Decrepit To Insanity

Admin: The last question, how do you opinion about simple blog us http://pasukanmati-v2.blogspot.com/?
Hannes: Blogs like yours are absolutly great and necessary in a underground scene like BDM. You spread the word and I think a lot of people discover new bands through blogs like yours and that means that unknown bands get some deserved attention - to make it short: awesome and keep it up!

Admin: Thanks man for time, keep working and stay Brutal!!
Hannes: Thanks a lot for the opportunity, I appreciate it
